APS is a distressed assets investment company and debt recovery platform with a prime position in Central and South-Eastern Europe and further expansion goals. Our business consists of acquiring, advising, and servicing non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios.
We are looking for a new colleague for the position of Junior Investment Specialist.
What will you do?
- Support the Transactions team during the underwriting process of new investment opportunities in distressed debt asset class, M&A transactions in financial sector in CEE / SEE countries:
- Active participation during the due diligence, focused mainly on a review of real estate valuations furnished by external advisors, review of legal due diligence reports furnished by external legal advisor and financial analysis
- Analysing and modelling of the investment opportunities in excel spreadsheets
- Preparation of the investment materials
- Basic communication with investors
- Analysis of the new market opportunities and research on the markets of Central and Southeastern Europe with a focus on banking loans sector and real estate sector, opportunistic M&A opportunities in financial services sector or restructuring single ticket cases
- Other ad hoc analysis and support work
- Daily cooperation with internal departments and external advisors
What do we expect from you?
- Education: University Degree, specialisation in finance
- Experience: minimum 1 year after finishing the education, working experience in NPL / M&A / Restructuring / Real estate is welcome
- Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, financial analysis and modelling
- Understanding of real estate valuation
- experience with reviewing and understanding legal documents/agreements
- Language: proficient in English
- Hard-Skills: Excel spreadsheet modelling, Power-Point, basic knowledge of Python (or similar language)
- Soft-Skills: self-driven, ambitious, motivated and dynamic, process and goals oriented, analytical thinking, very good communication skills, team player, ethical person
